RCCK racer Lindsay Branston enjoyed a stunning start to the new year by winning her category in the Super Quaich 2 Doonbank Trofee cyclocross race at Rozelle Park in Ayr at the weekend. Even more impressive she came 5th overall in a 70 strong field that included some of the regions fastest male and female riders on what was a challenging muddy circuit. Lindsay says; “I’m delighted! it was a tough course but after a good start I managed to hold my position to take the win, the support from fellow RCCK racers and travelling members was fantastic!”
With two races left in the CX season Lindsay has shown in all her outings but this one tops the lot. Next up is Foxlake by Dunbar before the final race of the series, the famous Dig in at the Dock at Bo’ness.
